Kourtney Kardashian brushes off Kris Jenner’s disappointment about her pregnancy reveal: ‘It was just about me and Travis’

Kourtney Kardashian responded to Kris Jenner’s concerns about her pregnancy reveal during Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians.

The 44-year-old reality television figure announced that she was pregnant with her fourth child – who arrived this past November – during a Blink-182 concert that took place in Los Angeles in June.

The entrepreneur’s 68-year-old mother went on to voice her disappointment about not being told about her daughter’s new development in life and having to learn about the situation ‘on the news.’

Jenner recalled: ‘I thought I was being Punk’d and then I realized it was the ABC News. I knew she was pregnant, but I just didn’t know she was going to announce it.’

Khloe, 39, also told her older sister that their mother was ‘really hurt’ by her eldest child’s failure to privately inform her about the pregnancy.

Although Kardashian maintained that she simply ‘forgot’ to tell the matriarch of her family, her mother replied by stating that she had been suffering from ‘pregnancy brain.’ 

The Poosh founder responded by stating that she did not think that her family ‘would care to come’ to the concert during a confessional appearance.

However, she went on to reveal that she ‘did tell Khloe about’ the pregnancy reveal and added that her younger sister ‘asked me to change it to San Diego.’

She continued: ‘This is why I don’t invite you guys to stuff, because it’s not about you. Everything becomes about everyone and the way they want to do it and all their complaints and I’m like, “Ah, I see why I didn’t invite you to the other thing.”‘

Kardashian concluded by stating that she was mainly concerned about surprising her husband, Travis Barker, when she announced her pregnancy at the concert. 

‘It was truly just our way to tell the world and it was just about me and Travis, not about anything else,’ she said.

The entrepreneur gave birth to her son, Rocky Thirteen, last month in Los Angeles.

Kardashian also shares sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, as well as a daughter named Penelope, 11, with her former partner Scott Disick.

Kardashian concluded by stating that she was mainly concerned about surprising her husband, Travis Barker, when she announced her pregnancy at the concert

The couple maintained a long-term relationship for several years, which ultimately ended in 2015.

Barker, 47, also shares a son and daughter named Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17, with his former wife Shanna Moakler, and he also serves as a stepfather to her eldest daughter Atiana De La Hoya, 24.

Kardashian and the drummer began seeing each other in late 2020, and they publicly revealed that they had been dating the following September.

The happy couple went on to tie the knot in Santa Barbara in May of last year, and they held a star-studded wedding in Italy that same month.
