McDonald’s in Istanbul attacked by protesters after IDF promise
A McDonald’s customer was left less-than-impressed after the bill for his regular order came up to more than he expected – with one obvious price increase.
American TikTok creator Christopher Olive took to the social media platform to share his views on his latest visit to the fast-food giant.
In a video shared last year, the TikToker showed off his McDonald’s tray containing a Smoky Double Quarter Pounder BLT burger with large fries and Sprite, according to Unilad.
Speaking off-camera, the aspiring strongman could be heard exclaiming: “So I get there’s a labour shortage, I get there’s wage increases and a number of other things but… sixteen dollars?
“Sixteen dollars for a burger, a large fries and a drink. It’s just crazy.”
The comments’ section was soon flooded with comments from people sharing their differing opinions on the price of the meal.
One person typed: “Five Guys prices at McDonald’s?!?” To which Christopher replied: “It’s crazy.”
Another commented: “It’s officially not convenient or affordable anymore, might as well go to the store and buy hamburger meat.”
“Bro ordered the most expensive meal they have and acted surprised,” argued one online user.
Another commenter added: “Because you got DOUBLE DELUXE BACON quarter pounder, literally the most expensive option on the entire menu.”
The video resurfaced after McDonald’s unveiled a new limited-edition menu last month with seven exclusive new items rolled out across the UK.

The range launched on October 18 and includes two exclusive new burgers, a cheesy side, and four special desserts – all of which are on offer for a short time only.
Described as a 100 percent chicken breast fillet burger in a crispy, crunchy coating, the Steakhouse item is complete with a smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion, and lettuce, all sandwiched between a sourdough style sesame bun.
The second limited edition burger on the October menu is made from two succulent beef patties with a cheese sauce, two cheese slices, grilled and crispy onions and pickles served in a toasted bun.
This limited edition McFlurry boasts a mix of Twix biscuit pieces and slightly sour apple sauce that create an explosion of autumnal flavours.
McDonald’s fans with a sweet tooth can also get their hands on a limited edition ring donut that’s filled with toffee apple compote, a crumble topping and a drizzle of toffee sauce, as well as the new toffee apple pie, an autumnal twist on their dessert staple.
