Giovanni Pernice has been seen smiling and laughing for the first time in weeks after a tumultuous exit from Strictly Come Dancing.
The Italian stallion, 33, was seen having a candlelit dinner at the Royal Opera House with his former partner on the BBC dancing show Rose Ayling-Ellis. Together, the pair emerged victorious and won the glitterball trophy in the 2021 series of the show.
In a small video uploaded to his Instagram story, Giovanni was able to let his hair down as he dined out with Rose. She was seen having a glass of prosecco after Pernice asked her to.

Rose, who looked cosy as she sported a fleecy white humper and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, asked her ex-Strictly partner why. Pernice cheekily quipped back: "Because you've got smelly breath," before laughing.
She clearly was not impressed with his remarks before Giovanni explained that it was down to the onion soup she had been tucking into previously. Rose responded: "That's peppermint, no onion soup anymore – it's now olive breath!"
Giovanni could then be heard laughing and apologising for his accusation. The pair were at the prestigious venue as they enjoyed a performance of the show The Cellist.
During the course of the BBC show, both Rose and Giovanni got formed an intimate bond as they danced their way through the competition. The chemistry between Giovanni and the former EastEnders star was clear to see and following the end of the series, the pair have remained incredibly close.
Ayling-Ellis also gave Giovanni her support when she liked a post he uploaded on Instagram paying tribute to his current partner Amanda Abbington. Amanda dramatically walked from the show last month due to "medical reasons", but there had been speculation of a growing rift between the Sherlock actress and Pernice.
After a couple of weeks off from the programme, Giovanni returned to Strictly during last week's show (October 28). But viewers could spot the Italian was not happy being back without his partner, looking longingly and sad during his cameos.
Giovanni's reunion with close friend Rose comes after the professional dancer announced a huge career move. He recently revealed that he had been developing a new unisex cologne set to hit the shelves soon.
Promoting the upcoming scent, named Vita – the Italian word for 'life' – Giovanni sizzled in some sultry snaps. In the snaps, Pernice gave smouldering looks to the camera together with a female model in some racy black and white pics.
