Let’s face it, kids Halloween costumes are always adorable. Even when they try to be a bone-chilling vampire or a monster from Stranger Things, they always make it seem so cute (and Jenna Bush Hager’s son’s costume will be no different)!
With the spooky season right around the corner, Halloween is all on the kiddos’ brains, and in Hager’s household, her kids already decided on their costumes for the big holiday. While we’re unsure what her daughters are planning, we now know her son Hal has a hilarious costume in mind that every New Yorker will get a good chuckle at.

During a last week episode with her co-host Hoda Kotb, via People, Hager revealed, “We’ve already been talking about what everyone’s going to be for Halloween in our household.”
Kotb quickly asked: “What are we looking at?”.
Hager hilariously took a deep breath before explaining that “Hal wants to be a New York City rat. Not just a rat, but a New York City rat, so a special kind of breed.”
“So bigger than normal?” Kotb asked, to which Hager replied: “Large, maybe pizza in half of its mouth.”

First off, that may be one of the best NYC-themed kids costumes we’ve ever heard of, and secondly, we seriously can’t wait for those pics to be posted to Instagram.
The Everything Beautiful in Its Time author and her husband Henry Hager have three children together named: Mila, 10, Poppy, 8, and Hal, 4. The Hager family is known for their adorable family costumes, and in the past, Hal has been in a little deer costume and futuristic themes, per Closer Weekly, and now, it seems he’s ready to embrace the sillier side of Halloween.
