Kate Hudson’s 4-year-old daughter Rani takes after her mama in a super cute new video that shows she is meant to be an actress!
“Back to school pressure is on! 📚” the Almost Famous star captioned a video on Instagram. In it, Hudson’s propped up in bed with a sleep mask pulled up on her forehead. She’s intently reading something with Rani by her side in pink pajamas. The little girl has a red pen in her hand and a paper in her lap, and she is scribbling in it as if she’s doing homework.
“How much work do I have to do?” she asks herself in the video. “So much!” She then puts her hand on her forehead with her mouth open like she is shocked at how much she has to get done before bed. As Rani continues writing, the camera zooms in to show her page is just filled with little scribbles — she’s not actually working on anything. This preschooler had us convinced she’s studying for midterms, when she’s really just doodling on paper. It’s so dramatic and over-the-top, and we love it! She’s going to be a star one day, for sure.
When she notices the camera caught her out, she moves the paper away and gasps dramatically. “Don’t ever do that!” she says, pointing at the camera with her pen. “Because I have to focus working and I don’t want you to… Can you please not take pictures of my work, Daddy? It’s very important.” Hudson looks over at her daughter then smiles at the camera, which is being operated by her fiancée Danny Fujikawa. So cute!

Sharon Stone wrote, “😍 .” Actress Molly Shannon commented, “This is the sweetest. She is so serious about her schoolwork. You two look so cute and cozy together doing your work.”
“Omg how do you even keep a straight face. So stinking cute,” another person said. Someone else wrote, “I’m gonna need all further content to be about this child. Movies Schmovies.. we’re here for the kid.”

“She is already a little actor 🌸🩷🌸,” another person commented.
Others pointed out how much she reminded them of her grandmother, Goldie Hawn. “Omg she’s a mini Goldie! 😂” one person wrote.
In an Aug. 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Glass Onion actress gushed on her youngest daughter. “She’s really special,” Hudson she said. “She’s just this loving, funny — she’s hilarious, oh my god — and she likes to be funny. You know, she’s goofy.”
She went on, “I think that when you get older and you’ve had kids… you kind of soak in those moments a little bit more… maybe a little more intensive. It’s those moments that I just cherish.” Rani definitely seems to have leaned into her goofy side as she’s gotten a little older, and it’s so adorable.
