Milestones: With the second season drawing to a close, the ninth episode of And Just Like That… saw some major developments for the ladies of New York
Uh oh: It’s revealed at the beginning of the episode that Aidan and Carrie are being kicked out of Che’s apartment for violating the building’s guest policy
The episode opens with Carrie and Aidan reunited in New York at Che’s apartment after another week apart.
It’s revealed that Carrie’s trip to her beau’s Virginia farm at the close of last week’s episode saw her meet Aidan’s three sons, but she’s still worried about the impression she made on the teenagers.
‘The boys say hey, wanna know when you’re coming back,’ Aidan tells her. ‘Even Wyatt, because he was not buying what I was selling,’ asks Carrie.
‘He’s 14 plus he’s a little tricky. He’s only known you for a week, don’t take it personally.’
Their catch-up is interrupted though when a note is pushed under the door telling the couple they have violated the guest limit policy for the building.
‘Now we have nowhere to live!’ Carrie exclaims before once again trying to get Aidan to agree to set foot in her apartment, only to be met with a firm ‘nope.’
Meanwhile, Seema is seen showing her new client Ravi around some luxury rentals, with the viewing ending swiftly as she confronts the ‘cut-rate Spielberg’ for his disinterest in her listings.
‘What exactly is your problem? Three weeks of showing you the best’ she fumes.

‘Here’s the plot twist, if I had taken the best three weeks ago I wouldn’t have had these wonderful afternoons with you,’ Ravi responds.
‘That’s very romantic I thought you only made action movies?’ teases Seema.
‘Oh you want action?’ he flirts back before the couple have a very racy hook up at the apartment.
Over in Brooklyn Miranda is trying to find out what son Brady’s next steps are as he continues to work at dad Steve’s bar.
The concerned mom tells him: ‘You need to figure out your path,’ only for Brady to point out: ‘You didn’t figure out your path until you were 56.’
Later, Miranda enlists Charlotte to get her daughter Lily to motivate him, as she exclaims: ‘My only child is making French fries for a living.’
Over at Lisa and Herbert’s, Lisa is feeling overworked helping with Herbert’s campaign and working on her new film.
‘You can’t burn the candles at both ends, we’re old now,’ Herbert tells her as she heads to bed early.
New friend: Che is also getting some action. They are recognised at the animal shelter, enjoying a flirt as new pal Toby asks about their plans to get back into comedy

Che is also getting some action. They are recognised at the animal shelter, enjoying a flirt as new pal Toby asks about their plans to get back into comedy.
Che also agrees to rehouse lost kittens that Toby has bought in, and brings one back to Carrie’s apartment.
‘I can’t have a kitty without a home, I already have an Aidan without a home,’ Carrie insists, prompting Che to ask ‘what the hell happened in here?’
‘A lot of stuff happened in here, he just got really hurt,’ a despondent Carrie tells them.
Seema brings Ravi for dinner with Carrie and Aidan, with the director proving to be a big hit. She tells Carrie in the bathroom though that ‘he’s so wrong for me.’
Carrie insists ‘he can’t stop looking at you’.
‘New topic,’ Carrie says, ‘I had an epiphany I’m ready to sell my apartment and move on but it has to be something truly, truly special. Worth giving up my jewel box for.’
New home? Later, Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte tour a potential new apartment. ‘It’s extravagant I know but I figured there’s me and Aidan and Aidan has three kids’
Questions: As Charlotte and Miranda question if she is sure about selling her beloved apartment, Carrie muses: ‘It hit me the other day why am I holding onto it?’
Later, Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte tour a potential new apartment at Gramercy Park. ‘It’s extravagant I know but I figured there’s me, there’s Aidan and there’s me and Aidan and Aidan has three kids. Plus I just have a lot of clothes,’ she gushes.
As Charlotte and Miranda question if she is sure about selling her beloved apartment, Carrie muses: ‘It hit me the other day why am I holding onto it? For what? The man I love won’t set foot in there, it’s time.’
While at the viewing, Carrie gets a phone call from Aidan’s ex wife Kathy who wants to meet up after they got on well during Carrie’s trip to Virginia.
Miranda meanwhile heads back to Steve and Brady’s after Nya’s sex-capades force her out of home to get a shower, only to run into a half-dressed Lily in the hallway.
She breaks the news that Lily and Brady are hooking up to a shocked Charlotte, who declares: ‘they’re like cousins!’
Later, talking to Harry Charlotte questions ‘what it means? Was it a one-time thing? Are they a couple now? And if they are, we all know that someone’s gonna get hurt.’
‘When they do break up it’s gonna make things awkward between me and Miranda! No matter how you slice it, this doesn’t end well. Unless they get married! They would have the most beautiful red-headed, Chinese-Jewish babies.’

Smitten? At Herbert’s party, held at Charlotte’s apartment, Brady comes with Miranda so he can meet up with Lily
Surprise! Lisa meanwhile is late for Herbert’s speech at the party prompting a furious argument right before he takes the stage, only for her to break the news that she is pregnant
At Herbert’s party later, held at Charlotte’s apartment, Brady comes with Miranda so he can meet up with Lily. Miranda and Charlotte spy on them, only for Charlotte to decide to leave them to it, telling Miranda: ‘I had a lot of sex that my mother didn’t know about and everything turned out alright, so no, I don’t wanna know.’
Across the party, Anthony tells Carrie he is ending it with Giuseppe as he suspects he’s after a Green Card. He confronts him, telling him: ‘Why else would a breathtaking young man like you be chasing after someone like me?’
The hunky poet assures him he has dual citizenship and the two end up together in the bathroom.
Just as she’s about to take the next step with Aidan, Carrie appears to backtrack on her comment last week about Big being ‘a big mistake’ as she tells Charlotte’s boss Mark about her ‘wonderful marriage to a wonderful man which ended far too soon.’

And there’s another shock pregnancy, as after another Tinder hookup, Nya is scrolling Instagram and sees, to her despair, that her ex Andre is expecting a baby with his new girlfriend.
At the end of the episode Carrie meets up with Aidan’s ex wife Kathy who reveals her reason for wanting to meet is to ask her not to write about her sons. ‘You will be spending more time with them, and they will give you a lot of material,’ she tells her.

Carrie promises not to use the boys as material, and also tells Kathy about her new, bigger apartment and how there will be room for them there.
‘I know your history with Aidan and you can’t hurt him again because it’s not just Aidan now, it’s my boys,’ Kathy cautions.
Later, Carrie reveals the new apartment to Aidan, telling him: ‘There’s plenty of room for you and three other Virginians you might want to bring up sometime.’
She brings up Kathy’s warning, telling him: ‘She tells me I can never hurt you again, what do you think about that?’
‘I think that this is now, different time, different place. I mean are you going to hurt me? Of course. And I’ll hurt you and we’ll mix it up and get pissy and work it out,’ he declares.

Happily ever after: ‘I know I want to be with you, and I want everything that goes with that,’ Carrie tells him as she lets go of their past
‘Because life is short and we deserve to be happy. That’s what I think.’
‘I know I want to be with you, and I want everything that goes with that,’, Carrie agrees.
The closing scene sees Carrie returning to her old apartment and greeting her neighbor who asks her ‘can you imagine anyone ever wanting to leave this place?’
