Corrie: Gemma Winter seeks compliment from boyfriend Henry
Coronation Street’s Henry Newton (played by George Banks) left the cobbles in 2018, however, fans of the ITV soap will see him return in scenes set to air next week.
Reprising his role after five years, viewers will remember he played Gemma Winter’s (Dolly-Rose Campbell) lying and scheming boyfriend.
It looks as though his return is set to cause issues for Gemma, who recently got married and has turned to her ex for help with money.
Ahead of his comeback, the actor confessed he was nervous about being back on-screen.
He told Digital Spy: “I was nervous to start filming again, because of lockdown it’s been a few years since I’ve done screen work.

“But my first scene was with Dolly. We just had so much fun; it just felt like old times.”
The soap star went on to tease that fans will see a different side to Henry as he revealed the character is now slightly more grown up.
His character started dating Gemma in 2017, although it was part of a cruel dare he had with his friends.
However, feelings started to develop and the duo decided to make a go of things the following year.
