In addition to Beyonce, Travis’ long-awaited follow-up album to ‘Astroworld’ features the likes of SZA, The Weeknd, Future, James Blake, Bad Bunny and Bon Iver.
AceShowbiz –Travis Scott (II) has finally released his long-promised album “Utopia”. The new 19-track record was released on Friday, July 28, almost five years after the rapper debuted “Astroworld”. The star-studded affair features appearances from big names including Beyonce Knowles, who is tapped for a track titled “Delresto (Echoes)”.
The song kicks off with Beyonce rapping over eerie, futuristic music, “Statues in the next room/ Bulletproof the whole thing/ Ignore the dress code.” She continues, “Step into the ballroom/ So hard to let go/ Things they never give life/ I can see the echoes.”
In the chorus, the Grammy-winning singer sings, “It’s Only Echoes (Walk)/ I escape for (Walk)/ Only echoes (Walk)/ on the return (Walk)/ Walkin’ around (Walk)/ the number (Walk)/ Stay the night.”
Upon listening to the new song, fans quickly pointed out that “Delresto (Echoes)” gave “witchcraft, ritual, satanic, demonic vibes.” An Instagram user wrote, “Sound ritualistic and dark up both they alleys,” while someone else said, “Two devil worshippers.”
Not everyone was against the song, as some others liked the song. “The song is [fire emojis] and once Beyonce graces the track it becomes hers !!!!” a fan noted. “I lik it already,” one other said, with another fan adding, “I wish it was just her song lol I like it.”
In addition to Beyonce, “Utopia” features the likes of SZA, The Weeknd, Future, James Blake, Bad Bunny and Bon Iver. It’s got production credits from Kanye West (“Thank God”), Metro Boomin, Mike Dean, Wondagurl, Wheezy, Allen Ritter, Daft Punk‘s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (“Modern Jam”) and more.
Prior to the album release, mysterious totems appeared in the Texas town named Utopia. Scott initially planned to hold a launch event at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on Friday, but the show was canceled.
“Egypt at the pyramids will happen. But due to demand and detail logistics They just need a bit a time to set lay on lands,” the “SICKO MODE” emcee tweeted on Wednesday. “I will keep u posted on a date which will be soon love you alllll. But in good news I had 4 more of these type of experiences in other places. COORDINATES SOON REACH.”
