The long-running Naruto franchise will be getting the FLOW treatment. On the anime’s official website, it was announced that the rock band would be recording opening and ending songs that would kick off and close four episodes of Naruto.
For those unfamiliar with the band, FLOW is a Japanese rock group that formed in 1998. Over the past two decades, the band has put out 12 studio albums and contributed tracks to several animes, including past seasons of Naruto.
The band’s hit singles “GO!!!” and “Re:member” both served as opening themes to Naruto, while “Sign” opened Naruto Shippuden.
The four Naruto episodes will air in celebration of the anime’s 20th anniversary and will air on September 3, with one new episode premiering each week afterward. “GO!!!” will once again return as the opener, while the closing song will be a cover of Orange Range’s “Viva Rock.”
