I ran out of tampons so thought I'd give a menstrual cup a try – the next thing I know, I'm in A&E | The Sun

A WOMAN who decided to try a menstrual cup for the first time was left regretting her choice when she ended up in A&E.

Naomi had no option but to try the menstrual cup when she ran out of the organic cotton, bleach-free, sustainable super plus tampons she usually uses.

In a video on TikTok, she said she had nothing planned for the day so wanted to give the cup a try.

"Guys, I tried to test it in the shower to take it out and I can't get it out," she said.

She then enlisted the help of her sister to try and get it out, adding: "Thank God for sisters!"

"It's not coming out," her sister said.

"At this point, I had no other option but to go to A&E and let them know that I had a foreign object in my vagina," Naomi said.

She was sent to Urgent Care, where the physician tried to use a whole host of speculums and forceps to remove the cups.

"Getting it out was proving difficult," Naomi admitted.

While the doctor didn't give up, she went to seek further advice, which meant that there were then three people "staring at my vagina trying to get this damn thing out," Naomi said.
