Popstar Meghan Trainor, and her husband Daryl Sarbara, have welcomed their second child as they confirmed the happy news in a sweet Instagram post on Tuesday. The Made You Look singer shared a selection of adorable moments from her birth, and also revealed her second son’s old-school British name.
Meghan and her husband announced that their second bundle of joy was named Barry Bruce Trainor, as the star shared some sweet snaps. Meghan's post included the blonde beauty holding her newborn, her husband gently holding his new son, and a snap where she was in her hospital room just moments before giving birth.
She also informed her followers that her son happened to be born on the couple's seven-year anniversary date.
She captioned her snaps: “On July 1st (our 7 year anniversary of our first date) we welcomed Barry Bruce Trainor into the world.
“He was a big boy at 8lbs 7oz…and sideways (transverse), but we had an amazing, successful c-section, and I finally got my skin to skin time! Thank you to all of the incredible doctors and nurses who took such great care of us.”
Fans rushed to the comments to send their sweet congratulatory messages, as one penned: “Another beautiful addition to the most beautiful family!!!!! Congratulations!!!”, while another wrote: “He is perfect!!! Congrats sweet superhero mama!!!”.
A third wrote: “A perfect beautiful icon, legend, star born into the most wonderful family possible! Congrats”, while another said: “Waaaaa congratulations!!!!! So happy for you guys!!”.
Meghan announced her second pregnancy earlier this year on Instagram, as she posted a snap showing off a row of baby scan photos.
"BABY #2 COMING THIS SUMMER @darylsabara," she captioned the post.
The Made You Look singer married Spy Kids star Daryl in 2018, and the couple went on to welcome their first child, Riley, in 2021.
Meghan previously shared that ahead of becoming pregnant with Riley, she and Daryl had been trying, unsuccessfully, to conceive for months – before she read up on how pregnancy actually works.
After failing to get pregnant, they began using easily available conception monitoring strips and it was this that finally helped her conceive son Riley, now two.
Meghan previously referred to her second pregnancy as being "so much different" to the first while speaking to PEOPLE.
She said: "This pregnancy, I'm hungry to the point where I was like, 'Is it twins?' But it's not twins, sadly. I wanted twins.
"My husband's a twin, and every time I was like, 'Give me twins,' he's like, 'We're not going to do that. We're not going to,'" she continued.
"I'm just so grateful I can get pregnant. And I'm like, 'I'm crushing it. This is amazing. This is my dreams.' I'm halfway there — I want four kids!"
