‘I’ve been officially Glasto-d!’: Holly Willoughby reveals she’s lost her voice after ’12-hour Glastonbury bender’ as she finally returns to This Morning
Holly Willoughby has lost her voice after partying at Glastonbury Festival.
The presenter, 42, spent the weekend with friends at Worthy Farm, raising eyebrows when it emerged she had taken off Monday’s This Morning, prompting Josie Gibson to take her place.
While she may have had a day to rest, Holly wasn’t fully recovered by the time she returned to the show, with co-host Craig Doyle remarking on her croaky voice.
As he probed: ‘Is that a summer cold is it? Allergies? Pollen?’ Holly quipped: ‘I’ve been offically Glasto-d! That’s what this voice is.
‘It’s always my first thing to go and actually I blame Elton John for this because – did you see him on stage? It was just so amazing, it was one of the best bits.’

She continued: ‘The whole weekend was incredible but to finish on this moment and I sang my socks off and now I sound like this! But honestly I just had the best weekend ever.’
One snap saw her posing with a pal in a white broderie anglaise dress and cowboy-style had as the sun set behind her, while in another she looked out on the stage as her husband Dan Baldwin put his arm around her in a rare PDA.
Holly – who missed Monday’s This Morning due to the festival – reportedly enjoyed a boozy 12-hour day out at Glastonbury on Friday, when the Arctic Monkeys headlined.
She partied and danced with the likes of Princess Eugenie, Peter Crouch, actor Jamie Dornan and Lily James until the early hours of the morning, according to The Sun.
Holly missed Monday’s This Morning as she travelled back from the festival and Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson filled in for her. She will return for Tuesday’s programme.
The star was spotted arriving at the hotly-anticipated festival by helicopter along with Dan.
It was her first big public outing since Phillip stepped down from ITV, as he admitted to having an affair with a much younger male This Morning colleague.
Video footage obtained by the publication showed Holly having the time of her life as she put her worries behind her and danced the night away.

A source told The Sun of her day at the festival: ‘Holly was laughing and joking with her friends from the moment she touched down.
‘They had access to the VIP Winnebago camping area but Holly seemed keen to get among the crowds.’
Holly was said to have watched headliners the Arctic Monkeys in the crowds with footballer Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy.
The presenter was also said to have socialized in the VIP area before partying at The Rabbit Hole with the likes of actress Lily and Irish star Jamie until 2am.
An onlooker added: ‘She was dancing non-stop and having a ball. It was clear the stress of the past couple of months had subsided and Holly looked happier than ever.’
It comes after her former co-host Phillip, 61, resigned from ITV and was dropped by his agency YMU after admitting to an ‘unwise, but not illegal’ affair with a younger male colleague.
Since returning to This Morning on June 5, Holly has brushed off the drama surrounding Phillip’s exit and has presented This Morning with a rotation of co-hosts.
The tryst was kept secret for years until Phillip admitted to The Mail on Sunday he had lied about it having been just rumours.
He went on to confess he had misled his employer ITV, his colleagues, his friends and his then agents at the management firm YMU.
Then, in an extraordinary series of mea culpa interviews, he apologised for all of the hurt he had caused.
It sparked an extraordinary domino effect for the show and ITV, with Holly having to issue a statement saying she knew nothing about it.
But Phillip insisted he had not ‘groomed’ the man, despite first meeting him when he was 15.

He declared: ‘Attraction is attraction. It’s no different in the gay world as it is in the heterosexual world or in the lesbian world.
‘There shouldn’t be a difference. This is where homophobia comes in. We did first meet when he was 15, I visited the drama school [he attended].
‘So yeah, there’s a difference. It’s accepted by Leonardo DiCaprio, it’s not accepted if it’s in the gay world.’
