Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst walk the red carpet at Cannes

Kirsten Dunst and husband Jesse Plemons make a stylish duo as they match in black at the Killers Of The Flower Moon premiere in Cannes

Kirsten Dunst and her husband Jesse Plemons made a stylish pair as they attended the Killers Of The Flower Moon premiere during the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival in France on Saturday.

The Marie Antoinette star, 41, wowed in a strapless black gown with a silver necklace and black heels.

The Screen Actors Guild Award winner’s blonde hair was parted to the side and fell naturally with a bit of a curl.

The Irishman actor, 35, meanwhile looked handsome in a black tuxedo with his hair short and messy.

The couple have been together for seven years and share two sons: five-year-old Ennis and two-year-old James Plemons. They tied the knot last year in Jamaica.

The A-list actors were joined on the red carpet by Robert De Niro, 79, Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, and Martin Scorsese, 80.

The film explores the harrowing true story of the ‘reign of terror’ that left two dozen Native Americans dead.

Set in the 1920s, it centers on the FBI’s investigation into a string of murders after several members of the Osage tribe in Oklahoma were slaughtered.

Jesse plays the role of Texas Ranger Tom White, who investigated the deaths of tribe members killed after oil was discovered beneath their land.

The rich deposits earned the tribe more than $30 million in annual revenue at the peak of the boom, according to the Oklahoma Historical Society.

The mineral deposits earned royalties that were paid to the tribe as a whole – with each allottee receiving one equal share also known as a headright that outsiders could only legally obtain if they married into the tribe.

It was during this time that rancher William K. Hale (De Niro) a native of Greenville, Texas, encouraged his subservient nephew Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio) to wed Osage member Mollie Kyle (later Mollie Burkhart).

The plot of the film is centered around Hale convincing his weak-willed nephew Burkhart to marry one of the daughters in the tribe in a plot to eventually murder them and inherit their wealth from oil.
