Kaley Cuoco Is ‘Going With the Flow’ When It Comes To Parenting Baby Tildy

Kaley Cuoco is embracing life as a mom in a laidback way. Her newborn daughter Matilda “Tildy,” who she shares with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey, has been in her life for 5 weeks now, and Cuoco reveals she’s just “going with the flow” when it comes to getting to know the little girl.

In a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight at the John Ritter Foundation’s 20th annual Fundraiser: An Evening From the Heart, Cuoco said she “still haven’t read a damn thing” about parenting.

“We find ourselves in a very natural situation. We’re just kind of going with the flow,” The Flight Attendant star says. “She really tells us what she wants, it’s very clear, it’s like one of three things.” To be fair, Cuoco has a point. Babies cry when they’re sleepy, hungry, or need a diaper, and it doesn’t take long to figure out which one it is.

“She’s cool. She’s really just awesome, and we’re loving it,” Cuoco continued. “We’re loving being at home with her. Yeah, we didn’t read anything and it’s working for us.” We love that for them!

Cuoco continued gushing about baby Tildy in her interview with ET. “Everyone’s happy, everyone’s good… She’s thriving, she’s the best!” the new mom said.

“She’s amazing. She’s five weeks old and she was laughing today, full on laughing and I was like, ‘This kid is hysterical!’” Cuoco added. “I’ve become that mom who posts every freaking thing. She does something, and I’m like, ‘I have to post that!’” It’s OK, Cuoco — we all do it!

The Meet Cute star also described parenting in three words: “Special, exciting and insane — but in the best way.” That pretty much sums it up!

It seems the no-plan plan is working for Cuoco, who went with the same strategy before baby Tildy’s birth.

In a Feb. 2023, interview with ET, Cuoco shared, “I have no plan and I’ve read zero books, so that’s the type of mom I will be.”

She added, “I’m not like a prepper. I’m just not that way. It’s gonna be great, I trust the process. Tom [Pelphrey] has googled enough for the both of us. He could probably deliver this baby at this point.”
