Fans to boycott American Horror Story after Kim Kardashian is cast

‘The worst thing that could happen’: American Horror Story fans threaten to boycott 12th season after Kim Kardashian is cast… despite long list of celebrity guest stars from Lady Gaga to Adam Levine and Naomi Campbell

American Horror Story fans have threatened to boycott the show after Kim Kardashian announced she is joining the cast of season 12.

The mother of four, 42, dropped the surprise news on her Instagram page on Monday morning, via teaser trailer she shared, which was also posted on the official American Horror Story Instagram.

But not everyone was thrilled by the surprise news, and many die-hard fans took to the comments to complain about the casting.

They even threatened to skip the season in its entirety to avoid watching Kim, calling the announcement a ‘real horror story’.

One said: ‘Kim Kardashian starring? Wtf did I just read? That’s the most horrifying part of the entire AHS franchise.’

Another added: ‘Whew, thanks for the heads up! Now I know to skip this season entirely’.

A third agreed, writing: ‘Nobody asked for Kim guess it’s about to be a real horror story’.

A fourth echoed: ‘I will not support any Kardashian/Jenner business and this counts. I’m done’.

While a fifth begged: ‘Please don’t do this.’

And a sixth penned: ‘If a Kardashian is in it then I’m officially giving up on this show’.

The complaints come despite American Horror Story having a long history of casting celebrities over the years.

One of Lady Gaga’s first acting roles was the Countess, a blood-sucking vampire in AHS: Hotel.

And the series has also seen guest star appearances from supermodel Naomi Campbell, singer Steve Nicks and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

Some people defended Kim, saying: ‘I’ll give it a shot to see what Kim can do. I was pleasantly surprised with Lady Gaga in Hotel, so we’ll see. Glad to have Emma back!’

The ominous clip did not picture Kim but it had eerie music with the words: ‘AHS12. Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are delicate. This summer.’

The clip showed a hint of a women’s figure in the background but it is unknown if it was supposed to represent her or Emma.

Kim did not disclose in what capacity or if she is playing herself, however The Hollywood Reporter revealed details soon after the star shared the announcement.
