Pauley Perrette shot to fame for her role as Abby Sciuto on CBS’ hit drama NCIS and has since maintained her bond with longtime fans following her 2018 exit. The actress was inundated with messages of support from fans and her former co-stars as she shared a touching tribute to her cousin.

Pauley took to Instagram with a video dedicated to her late cousin Wayne.

As the actress flicked through photos of them together, she shared: “Hey, can you call? Sure,” she continued: “I feel like everyone has their human, has their person.

“They’re your spouse, your boyfriend, your girlfriend. It could be a friend, sibling or parent, for me, it was my cousin, my cousin Wayne.”

“He was everything to me, people would say he was like my brother, we were like twins.”

As Pauley continued to swipe through photos, she added: “Everything was about us, he would come out here to Hollywood from Tennessee.

“And tell stories he would only tell me about being a firefighter and EMT, and we would shoot the s**t, drink beer and shots of moonshine he would bootleg here cross country in his cough bag.”

The 53-year-old chuckled as she recalled: “Can you call me? Yes sure, Wayne’s dead, March 18th 2022.”

Pointing at a photo of her cousin, Pauley added: “It’s been one year and I still don’t know who I am without him.”

The post was captioned: “One year ago my beloved dad died of #Covid. His political party told him it was fake and like hundreds of thousands of others they killed him with that.

“There were no vaccines then just exhausted healthcare workers, dead bodies all over and me saying goodbye on a nurse’s cell phone.”
