Dame Barbara Windsor’s widower Scott Mitchell says he will never love again.
He wept as he said he felt “privileged” to be there for the end of her life. Scott, 59, said: “I was blessed to have crossed paths with Barbara.
“On paper, it shouldn’t have worked, but it did with us and I am so thankful that she chose me to share her life with because I don’t think I will ever find another.”

Scott was talking to David Walliams about his book By Your Side: My Life Loving Barbara Windsor.
The EastEnders star died in 2020 aged 83 after battling Alzheimer’s. He said: “Barbara had this incredible memory, which is why it seemed so cruel what happened to her.
“She said to me, ‘I was doing this thing today and I just went blank, the lines wouldn’t come to me.’ I said to her, ‘Bar, maybe this is the time you need to come away from EastEnders.’
“She loved it, so it was a hard thing to get her to stop.”
He has also revealed that his marriage to the former Carry On star "wasn't a closed book"' and that she wanted him to "enjoy himself".
The actor, 59, claimed the couple were not in an open relationship, but the Peggy Mitchell star who was 27 years his senior, encouraged him to head back out into London.
In his new book, By Your Side: My Life Loving Barbara Windsor, Scott wrote: "On only our second date Bar had talked to me in detail about her many, many conquests. She said it was always good to brush the cobwebs away. Ours was not an open relationship, but it wasn’t a closed book either.

When Barbara could no longer drink anymore, Scott would drop her off at their home in a taxi and go back out to the West End again.
He explained: "It wasn't to hook up with women, though we both had a similar attitude towards sex, but to score some coke."
In her memoir, All Of Me: My Extraordinary Life, Barbara had previously blamed herself for her husband's historic cocaine addiction.
