Newcastle ace Allan Saint-Maximin to be BANNED from wearing headband he wore against Leicester after breaking kit rules

ALLAN SAINT-MAXIMIN has been banned from wearing the funky headband he wore in the win over Leicester City.

The Toon ace wore the jazzy headpiece during the 2-1 victory at St. James' Park on Sunday.

But the 25-year-old attacker broke strict dress code rules.

And now he will be told he cannot wear it again.

The one Saint-Maximin wore against Leicester is different to the one that the former French U21 international usually does.

However, even though headbands are not against the rules, they do have to be the same colour as the player’s kit.

He has been seen wearing both black and white pieces in the past – but his latest patterned one is a big no-no.

Rules mean he has to wear one that matches the colour of his kit etc.

The Premier League will write to the club to make clear he abides by the FA kit regulations in future.

And that means he will be banned from wearing this specific one again for Newcastle.

Saint-Maximin previously grabbed plenty of attention when he donned a £180 Gucci headband during a match.
