Luxury floating UFO ‘Pearlsuite’ hotels to let you holiday in style on the waves

A new range of UFO-inspired boats will give people the chance to cruise around the seas in a five-star hotel room.

'Pearlsuites' are a concept vehicle designed by Italian transport tech startup Jet Capsule.

Their designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini wants to build the electric Pearlsuites, which are zero-emission pods that can be used by hotels, resorts and beach bars to give guests extra chilling space out on the water.

They would be powered by solar energy and have air conditioning, fridges, wine coolers, bathrooms, and outdoor decking.

The Pearlsuite capsules would be available for as little as £38,000 but run all the way up to £230,000 for a high-tech premium version.

Designer Lazzarini said that they're able to be deployed very quickly, and that the capsules are "designed in order to be assembled in a very fast time."

The anchored suites could become floating resorts or used for restaurants or beach bars.

They aren't build for the high seas so there's no way you could cross the Channel in one, but it will let you sail along at 6mph for around 6 hours.

What's more, guests can control the pods with their smartphones rather than having to steer.

The company behind the pods said: "The suites can be optionally equipped with gyroscope stabiliser system or a fuel cell hydrogen generator can be mounted in order to produce energy onboard, ensuring energy available even in the case of several days with low solar irradiation, for example during rainy days."

"The concept intends to hit the hospitality sector, offering to all the existing and next beach resorts to establish or expand their number of rooms in matter of weeks; with zero carbon footprint, zero infrastructures, zero land occupied, and at a very low implementation cost."
