Adele has opened up about her decision to cancel her Las Vegas residency performances at the last minute.
The Make You Feel My Love star, 33, admitted she has regrets over pulling the plug on the performances, which were due to take place at Caesars Palace, at the eleventh hour.
Brit Award winning star Adele, who recently surprised fans as she pole danced at a nightclub, said she "wasn't ready" as she opened up on the Graham Norton Show.
She explained for the first time since releasing a video to cancel the performances: "I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something else together in time and that was why it was so last minute, which I regret that I kept going until that late in the day.
"It just wasn't ready and there were lots of reasons why; there were Covid delays with pieces of the show – there were some things that weren't going to be arriving until the day of the show, so therefore I'd never be able to see them or approve them, here were lots of delays for that.
"Our man power was down because I'm doing all this testing for our crew and out carpenters, who are there to fix and change things there and then, we had hardly any able to come to work.
"It would have been a really half-a**ed show and I can’t do that. People will see straight through me up on the stage being like, 'she doesn't want to be doing this' and I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now. So, obviously gutted."
She continued: "We are now working our a**es off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready."
Adele, who recently sparked engagement rumours with her beau Rich Paul, revealed she is hoping to do the shows this year because she plans to have another child.
Singer Adele is already mum to her nine year old son, whom she recently hinted isn't called Angelo.
Adele shares her son with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. She explained: "The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time.
"It is absolutely 100% happening this year. It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!"
Adele flew to the UK from the US earlier this week to perform at the Brit Awards and scoop up three gongs from the glittering ceremony – one of which she dedicated to her son and ex-husband.

She is set to return to the US soon, but has insisted she won't go off-the-radar like she has previously.
The stunning singer explained: "I definitely will but I am trying to make a conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy.
"I’m trying not to be two completely different versions of myself. It is exhausting switching on and off. I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won’t be in complete hiding.
"It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son."
