I’m happy, there is nothing I want to change…I am absolutely in love with myself, says Charlotte Crosby

FOR years she struggled with her weight but now Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby is finally happy with her body.

“I’m absolutely in love with myself,” says the 31-year-old, who created the UK’s fastest- selling fitness DVD.

“I don’t want to change anything, I’m really, really happy with every aspect of myself.

“I’ve learned to love myself exactly the way I am.”

In our exclusive interview, Charlotte shares her knowledge on subjects ranging from the Prince Andrew sex scandal to the existence of aliens.

And the notoriously naughty reality TV personality claims she is brainier than ever in her thirties.

She said: “I’m a lot more intelligent now. I spend long evenings being very angry about my tax bill.

“I will always be a little bit of a loudmouth, wild, crazy, but I’ve definitely grown up. I know more. I’m a lot more wiser.

“I think this is a sign of becoming an adult. The other night I actually fancied a glass of red wine.

“Normally I want to go out and just get really drunk. Now I want one glass of wine and to watch TV.

“And I don’t go out and get drunk anything like as much as I did ten years ago on Geordie Shore — that was part of the show. Now I can take or leave alcohol.”

Since starting her five-year stint on the Newcastle-based reality favourite in 2011 her career has gone from strength to strength.

'REALLY CREEPY'

Charlotte won Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, appeared on Ex On The Beach with former flame Gaz Beadle in 2015, published a best- selling autobiography Me, Me, Me and launched her own reality series, The Charlotte Show in 2018.

During the pandemic she hosted MTV shows Games Live With Charlotte Crosby and Charlotte Crosby’s Lockdown Laughs.

Her next TV role sees her probe odd goings-on at her luxury pad in Help! My House Is Haunted.

After capturing hair-raising footage on her own camera, she summoned experts to the mansion in Primrose Hill, near Houghton-Le-Spring, Sunderland, to discover if it was also home to spirits.

She said: “I found out some really creepy information about the plot of land the house is on.

“I believe in all that. And I believe in aliens 100 per cent. They are real, I don’t think we are the only beings who exist in an infinite universe.

“I don’t think they’re going to be walking around like us, but I think there’s another life form out there.”

Charlotte likes to keep up with the news on Twitter — but admits she has avoided details of the Epstein/Maxwell sex-trafficking scandal that has seen Prince Andrew accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old Virginia Giuffre, a claim he denies.

Charlotte said: “I don’t know much about the case.”

Referring to the four-part Epstein docu-series Filthy Rich, she continued: “This might sound so crazy but is that something to do with the documentary on Netflix?

“I don’t want to know the details as it would make me feel sick to my stomach if I knew what was going on.”

Ever since she has been in the spotlight, Charlotte has been plagued by body-shaming trolls as her weight fluctuated drastically.

But now, having lost more than 3st, she is finally satisfied with the way she looks, and has created her new Blitz ’n’ Burn fitness app to help others struggling with yo-yo dieting.

She said: “Before I started fitness I was 11st 8lb and didn’t do any exercise at all. But after I started exercising I was able to go down to 8st 12lb. I don’t really have any weight to lose as I’ve found the right balance in my life now.

“I’m around 9½st. It’s very hard for me to ever put weight on. I fluctuate a few pounds here and there when I’m due for a period or I need a big poo!

“I’ve still got my little wobbly bits. I’ve never had cellulite but I definitely had a couple of tyres on my belly. I looked like the Michelin Man.

“Everyone loves a six-pack, so that would be lovely, but I’m not trying to improve on a certain area. I’m all about maintenance now — the key is just to move more.

“I found a really good balance where I can enjoy life, exercise, keep fit, have fun and maintain a really nice shape, size, and feel good about myself.

“I’m not trying to get down to a goal weight, but I can sure as hell help anyone who’s trying.”

And Charlotte says her hunky new boyfriend Jake Ankers, 31, a driver, adores her toned physique.

She said: “It feels really right and nice with Jake.

"We’re similar ages and we’re both at the same stages in life and I think that’s really important.

“Personality-wise he’s similar to me too — we’re both dead social people.

“We’re both very focused on our fitness and our workouts. Once we’re doing a workout, we’re doing a workout until it’s over.”

Charlotte released her 3 Minute Belly Blitz, which became one of the biggest selling fitness DVDs of the decade, in 2014.

She followed it up with her 3 Minute Bum Blitz and a series of diet books including 30 Day Blitz.

She said: “I exercise every day now. It’s not just something I force myself to do, it’s part of my everyday routine, like brushing my teeth. I’m not claiming to be a personal trainer but the content on my old fitness DVD, which only had one workout, was repetitive and boring.

“I’m not knocking any other app in the slightest — none of them is more effective than another — but variety is the spice of life.

“My app is a one-stop shop. You can follow people, high-five people, and win rewards.

“And there’s the competitive side, recipes, loads of different workouts, power walks, a bit of everything. And we’re adding yoga soon too.”

As well as transforming her body, Charlotte has also made tweaks to her face, including a nose job six years ago and lip fillers.

She said: “There’s been a lot of changes, not just in weight but obviously in facial features.

'DISTRESSING TIMES'

“I had my nose done. I never got bullied or trolled about it, it was simply a decision I made for myself.

“I was like, ‘Why did I waste all of that time being self-conscious about something I could have just changed?’

“Some people don’t like big lips, some people do, but I like my lips the way they are now compared to how they were beforehand.”

Now she is comfortable in her own skin, Charlotte has also seen an improvement in her mental health. She said: “I have down days. Sometimes I just want to cry at anything.

“And I’ve been through some distressing times which have caused me stress and anxiety, but I do think I’m very strong-natured and I don’t care about what anyone thinks about me and I never will.

“Online trolling is probably the easiest form of bullying you can ever receive, because it’s so easy.

“But you just block them and turn off the comments.

“As long as I’m not doing anything that’s physically, mentally or abusively hurting someone, then I know I am not doing anything wrong.”
