Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey is expected to quit his role at the social media company, reports have stated today. In the wake of the reports – which are yet unconfirmed – Twitter’s shares jumped by 11 percent. But what’s really going on?
CNBC said Mr Dorsey was expected to step down “in the near term”.
The news is said to have come from “a number of different people familiar with the situation”.
David Faber, the CNBC journalist who first reported Mr Dorsey’s departure has said he did “not know much else” and it was unclear who would be poised to take over.
Why is Jack Dorsey quitting Twitter?
As yet Mr Dorsey has not made a statement on his reported departure, nor has Twitter.
