Sky is always adding new commands to its voice search functionality, which is available to anyone with a Sky Q box and a Voice Search remote control. The satellite broadcaster recently added the ability to ask “What Should I Watch?” to get personalised suggestions of the latest must-see telly. And now, Sky has added some new voice commands that will appeal to fans of Game of Thrones.

To coincide with the tenth anniversary of epic fantasy show airing in the UK, Sky Q now boasts over 25 fan-favourite quotes and phrases from Game of Thrones. Using one of these quotes will send viewers to a specially designed “destination centre,” where Sky will bring together all of its Game of Thrones content.

Sky Atlantic was the home of the award-winning HBO series in the UK. To avoid spoilers on social media, Sky Atlantic started airing the latest episode of the show at the same time as its primetime slot in the United States, which worked out around 2am in the UK. This proved hugely popular with fans, who would stay up into the night to watch at the same time as friends in the States, while others would record the 2am showing and watch on the way to work – safe in the knowledge that they’d eliminated the chance of a talkative colleague ruining The Red Wedding at the watercooler that afternoon.

Game of Thrones aired its final episode back in May 2019, however, the phenomenon is far from over. HBO, which produces the show, has multiple spin-off shows in active development. If you haven’t had a chance to watch the show, Sky still has the rights to all eight seasons of the show. All episodes are available on-demand right now from the “destination centre” launched with the new voice commands.

As well as boxsets for all eight seasons, Sky has curated playlists of episodes for three of the most-loved characters – Daenerys, Arya, and Tyrion. It also has a menu designed to help fans revisit select episodes based on the Best Battles and Most Shocking Episodes.

Standalone documentaries, as well as interviews with cast members, are included too. And there’s the two-part Reunion show, which covers the season finale and creation of the final scenes.

Of course, to watch Game of Thrones, you’ll need a Sky Q bundle with access to Sky Atlantic. This starts from £25 a month, but will increase if you add Sky Cinema and Sky Sports into the mix. Sky also offers subscriptions to some of the most popular streaming services, like Netflix and Disney+, in the same monthly bill. You can also search Disney+ and Netflix’s catalogue of shows and movies using your Sky Q remote – so there’s no need to rent something from the Sky Store that’s included for free in your Netflix subscription.
