‘Any chance you can turn your phone off?’ Flustered Kate Garraway is told off by GMB co-star Ben Shephard as her mobile goes off live on air

Kate Garraway was left flustered after her mobile phone went off live on air during Monday’s Good Morning Britain.

The presenter, 53, apologised to fans after being jokingly told off by her co-star Ben Shephard, 46, who asked: ‘Any chance you could turn you’re phone off?’

The duo, who are filling in for Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid during the half-term break, were discussing the easing of lockdown restrictions when Ben was left distracted by Kate’s phone.

Whoops! Kate Garraway was left flustered after her mobile phone went off live on air during Monday’s Good Morning Britain

As Kate began to explain what was coming up on the rest of the ITV show, her phone began to ring, prompting Bento turn to her and request she switched it off.

With a smile, he asked: ‘Any chance you can turn your phone off?’

To which Kate said: ‘You’re watching Good Morning Britain on ITV. I’m just going to pop this on silent!’

Joking about an accidental innuendo she made days before, he laughed: ‘Is that milk the milkman on the phone with his extras again?!’

Sorry! The presenter, 53, apologised to fans after being jokingly told off by her co-star Ben Shephard, 46, who asked: ‘Any chance you could turn you’re phone off?’

To which his pal exclaimed: ‘Mick’s probably at home like stop it, my wife is going to leave me!’

It comes after red-faced Kate left the Good Morning Britain studios in hysterics on Friday morning when she made an accidental innuendo while praising her milkman Mick.

Fellow host Ben had been reading out messages from viewers who have been touched by kindness during the coronavirus pandemic.

Wanting to thank Mick on air, Kate said she wanted to thank him for ‘offering her extras’ during this extremely difficult time.

She said: ‘Mick, my milkman, who has just been amazing.

‘He has absolutely just kept me going. He’ll leave me a little note saying “do you need anything extra other than the milk?”‘

After a split second pause, Ben burst out laughing as did presenters Alex Beresford and Richard Arnold and when she realised what she had said, Kate howled with laughter, putting her head in her hands.

Hilarious: Joking about an accidental innuendo she made days before, he laughed: ‘Is that milk the milkman on the phone with his extras again?!’

Kate protested: ‘I mean, like bread, butter or orange juice, which he also supplies. He leaves a little smiley face.’

Ben teased: ‘Are you still answering the door in your dressing gown and fluffy slippers?’

Kate laughed: ‘And a shower cap… Mick, thank you. Shall we move on as I’ve got myself in trouble. Even I didn’t see that one coming.’

Mick then began trending on Twitter and Kate giggled and said: ‘Oh God I hope his family weren’t watching. He’s going to get back from his round and they’ll say “what the heck has been going on?”‘

It was heartwarming to see Kate laughing as she has been very open about her own personal struggles as her husband Derek, 53, remains in a coma.

He went into hospital in March with coronavorus and while he is now clear of the virus, his body has been ravaged from the effects of the disease.
