The Masked Singer: Judges guess who Robin could be
So far, three famous faces have been unmasked on The Masked Singer, with actress Martine McCutcheon becoming the latest to have their identity unveiled to ITV viewers. With nine celebrities still left to guess, viewers are absolutely certain on who they will find behind Robin’s whacky costume – singer Aston Merrygold. Despite many references alluding to the star being a footballer, fans have pointed out how this clue could still stand with the star as he does have more than one link to the sport.
Martine was the third celebrity to have to take her mask off on Saturday night’s episode.
She delighted fans after being confirmed as the star behind Swan after having put on an American accent to try and ward the panel off the scent.
Of course, this left those at home busy trying to guess who might be the next to unmask as nine stars still remain.
One person who many believe they have already rumbled is Robin.

The lively character has impressed with their two performances so far, singing last night to Tone and I’s hit Dance Monkey.
Despite some confusing clues, many fans remain adamant the feathered personality is JLS star Aston.
Last night, clues seemed to suggest the person behind the mask is a professional footballer.
During Robin’s latest clue package, they said: “Sport has always been a huge part of my life, this chick is always on the go.
“Athletics track, out on the pitch for a kick around, I always knew I would be a footballer…”
But Aston has links to football with fans thinking the new clues have been brought in to act as a slight ‘red herring’.
Aston took part in the 2012 edition of charity event Soccer Aid and played football for England in the European Youth Games.
Taking to Twitter after Robin’s latest performance, one fan commented: “Not a footballer but someone that does SoccerAid.. #TheMaskedSinger.”
“#Robin is absolutely Aston Merrygold, the football is a red herring… he played in Soccer Aid. #TheMaskedSinger,” noted another.
A third wrote: “Robin is definitely Aston Merrygold and nobody can convince me otherwise… football clue, he’s done Soccer Aid & the swingball set, what does JLS stand for? I’D BET MY WHOLE BANK ON IT #TheMaskedSinger.”

Another agreed: “Surely it’s Aston – Pretty sure you’re right, he used to play football, he played for England in the European Youth Games #TheMaskedSinger.”
“Still think it’s Aston Merrygold despite the football red herrings. #MaskedSingerUK,” said a fifth.
After their performance, Robin gave two truths and a lie to the panel.
Robin said: “My real name is out of this world,” “This robin’s habitat is more tropical than you think,” and “I started performing by doing impressions.”
Odds on Robin being unmasked as Aston have been slashed by bookmakers, with Ladbrokes placing him at 1/5 odds.
Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Robin’s football clues tried to throw viewers off the scent, but the odds suggest it was a tap in and Aston looks a near certainty to be unveiled in due course.”
Next weekend’s show will see the remaining stars who didn’t perform last night take to the stage once more.
But who will become the fourth famous face to have to take off their mask?
The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV.
