Winona Ryder’s Home of 25 Years Hits the Market for $5M in San Francisco — See Inside!

Ever wanted to live in a home owned by Winona Ryder? Stranger things have happened!

The actress, 49, recently put her three-bedroom, three-bathroom Victorian home in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco on the market, listing it for $4,995,000 with Nina Hatvany of Compass. Ryder purchased the property back in 1995 for $1.3 million, according to property records, so she stands to make a pretty penny on the sale if she gets her asking price.

Cow Hollow is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the city, and Ryder’s three-level home, built in 1902, boasts 3,140 square feet of living space.

According to the listing, the main level features a formal entryway full of sunlight, a living room with a fireplace and bay windows, and an open floorplan kitchen, dining room and family room.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, along with two of the three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms open out onto an elevated patio which offers sweeping views of the city and its landmarks, including a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.

The lower level is home to the laundry room, garage and media room, which opens out onto the backyard. Though outdoor space tends to be limited in San Francisco, Ryder’s home boasts a lush garden and expansive deck area with seating.

The actress, who has most recently appeared in the first three seasons of Stranger Things and the HBO drama The Plot Against America, has been dating fashion designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn since 2011.

When asked in 2016 if wedding bells were in her future with Hahn, Ryder simply noted that divorce could never be an option to her.

“Marriage? I don’t know. I’d rather never have been married than been divorced a few times. Not that there’s anything wrong with divorce, but I don’t think I could do it if that was a possibility,” she explained at the time. “When your parents are madly in love for 45 years, your standards are really high.”
