After more than a month of rumors, Iggy Azalea has confirmed she’s a mom.
The Australian rapper took to her Instagram account on Wednesday morning to announce the news in a bombshell post.
‘I have a son,’ began the text-only Instagram Story.

The Fancy hitmaker -whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly- continued, ‘I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.’
‘I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret & I love him beyond words.’
She does not mention who the father is in the post.
The disclosure comes more than a month after reports that she secretly welcomed a baby boy with her rapper boyfriend, Playboi Carti, 23.

The reports surfaced on May 1, after DJ Akademiks took to his Instagram to congratulate Iggy and her man, while claiming that the pair gave birth to a son.
‘Congrats to Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti on the birth [of] their son this weekend,’ he wrote to his following.
He added in his own caption, ‘Talked to some ppl…. allegedly this is true. Congrats to #playboicarti and #iggyazalea if it is.’
The item caught the attention of fans of the artists, as some implied they were caught off guard by the news that Iggy had begun dating the rapper, again.
