This Morning’s Dr Sara Kayat has welcomed her first child, a little boy called Harris Walker, with her husband.
The medical professional appeared on Thursday’s episode of the ITV chatshow via video just one day after giving birth as she gushed over her newborn.
Dr Sara told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: ‘Thank you so much I’m so so happy it’s one of those overwhelming love kind of sensations, I didn’t know I had in me, so I’m very happy.’

The This Morning star explained that her son was born 10 days early and she had a water birth in her bath at home with no midwife or pain relief while her husband had to ‘catch’ the baby. Her labour only lasted two hours.
Dr Sara said: ‘He was 10 days early and because he was my first everyone was expecting it to be at least a week or so later.
‘I was at home, I wanted a water birth, but I hadn’t quite expected it to be in my bath, with no midwife present, so my husband had to kind of capture the baby as he came out.
‘He came out about 9:20, I had to call the ambulance, obviously with the midwife not knowing when to get here for, they arrived 20 mins later and then the midwives arrived 20 mins after that.

‘My first contractions were about 3:45 in the morning, I’d been having them for a couple of days and I thought it was contractual muscles. I was doing Pilates and yoga. Active labour was only 2 hours.’
Dr Sara added that due to having a birth with no pain relief, she was able to be ‘up and bouncing around’ the next day.
To which Holly joked that she needed an ‘ice pack down her pants for about a fortnight’.

She penned: ‘What a difference a day makes… . These photos were taken one day apart and my entire world has changed!
‘Harris Walker born yesterday to the happiest parents alive. . He is just magical, and we are all doing very well ❤️.

In March, before the UK lockdown for the COVID-19 crisis, Dr Sara practised social-distancing on the This Morning set due to her being pregnant.

Holly and Phil revealed that they had asked her not to come in and instead present from home, yet the doctor insisted on doing so.
The trio explained that she was put into isolation in the studio and on set in a bid to protect her and the baby during the pandemic.
Dr Sara announced in November that she was expecting her first child and shared a snap of her 14-week bump and her baby the size of a ‘cupcake’.
Keeping it candid, she explained in her caption: ‘As a doctor it’s strange because I think people expect you to know all the ins and outs of pregnancy.’
She added: ‘But honestly, when it comes to the rest of it, I’m lost. The way I felt in the first trimester, I don’t think anyone can learn that in a text book. That’s a life experience right there!!’
