What is the maximum number of people you can add to a WhatsApp video call?
Video calling apps like Zoom, Houseparty and Apple’s FaceTime have all witnessed a surge in usage.
WhatsApp has lagged behind all of these competitors in terms of its maximum group call limit.
But WhatsApp now allows users to make group video calls with up to eight people – regardless of whether they use an iPhone or Android.
Until the April 2020 update, WhatsApp users could only make a video call with four people including themselves plus three others.

Facebook-owned WhatsApp likely took the decision to issue an upgrade to prevent its users migrating to rival chat apps.
Facebook said in a statement: “WhatsApp calls are another way to stay in touch.
“Soon you’ll be able to have group voice and video calls with up to eight people on WhatsApp.
“As before, these calls are secured with end-to-end encryption.
“So no one else can view or listen to your private conversation, not even WhatsApp.”
How to Pin favourite chats to the top of WhatsApp:
WhatsApp has now introduced a solution for finding users’ favourite conversations on the app.
Users can now place a Pin key chats of their choosing to the top of WhatsApp.
This makes it make easier to access these chats whenever the app is open.
The new feature means users can now permanently attached these at the top of their feed.

The trick works for both one-on-one conversations and group chats in both iPhone and Android.
Users should note they can only pin up to three specific chats to the top of their chat list.
Android phone users should tap and hold the chat they wish to Pin.
Next, select the Pin icon that appears at the top of the screen.
Chats can also be easily un-Pinned by tapping and holding it, then tap the Remove Pin icon.
Apple iPhone users need only swipe right on the chat they wish to Pin.
Then tap Pin, which will lock the chat to the top of your app.
To unpin a chat, swipe right on the pinned chat and then tap Unpin.
