Lots of brands are revealing their recipes for fans who are missing out on their favourite treats during lockdown.
Greggs has been bringing out a different guide each week and today, they’re revealing how to make their famous bake.
They decided to close all stores on March 24 to keep customers and staff safe.
So instead they’ve released videos of some of their favourite things for customers to get creative at home.
The #GreggsItYourself series comes out every Wednesday, with fans encouraged to follow along and post pictures of their creations on social media.
They’ve already told you how to make the sausage, bean and cheese melt, followed by the beloved steak bake.
From 12.30 pm today, they’ll reveal the latest guide – the chicken bake.
The delicious bake is made with succulent chicken breast pieces, coated in a rich and creamy white sauce whilst all encased in golden puff pastry.
After the success of the first two bakes, Greggs enthusiasts have been calling for some advice on how to make the creamy pastry.
To make the pastries, you will need:
- Chunks of chicken
- Chicken stock
- Cornflour mixed with water
- Double cream
- Cream cheese
- Puff pastry
- An egg
Greggs spokesperson said: ‘The first two recipes have proved very popular and we’ve loved seeing everyone’s bakes. Hopefully, the Chicken Bake will prove to be just as popular.
‘We’re looking forward to seeing the fantastic #GIY Chicken Bake efforts shared via #GreggsItYourself.’
You can find the how to guide on the Greggs Facebook page, Twitter page and Instagram page from 12.30 pm today.
Of course, if you don’t fancy making them yourself, Iceland has frozen versions of Greggs pastries, including chicken bakes, steak bakes, sausage, cheese and bean melts and sausage rolls.
