Julianne Moore, 59, just shared a no-makeup selfie while in self-quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic, and while her skin looks flawless, the photo comes with an important reminder to support small businesses, many of whom are hurting enough that they may need to lay off employees or even close.
“I am grateful to my @theshalanyc teachers @mskleigh @barbaraverrochi @ashes76 for offering so many of us an online community during this difficult time,” The Woman In The Window star wrote, shouting out her yoga studio. “Those classes are something to look forward to everyday. 🙏🏻 🧘♀️” After her class, she bought some products from Onda Beauty, which was co-founded by fellow actress Naomi Watts.

Meanwhile, Julianne’s skin is glowing. The key to her flawless and wrinkle-free complexion? It’s surprisingly simple. “It’s so boring to say, ‘I always wash my face,’ but I do. But some people don’t,” she told The Cut. “I put on some eye cream, moisturizer, and put my retainer in and go to bed.” As for whether Julianne uses her retainer *every* night, the answer is a resounding yes.
Julianne’s eye cream of choice? “I tend to use Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK.
Plus, she’s also big on keeping harsh UV rays away. “Sunscreen is my number one thing. I’ve worn it every day since I was 23,” she told Redbook.

Julianne elaborated on her go-to SPF products to The Cut, explaining that she likes to use sunscreens that both moisturize and protect, or foundations that include SPF. She loves the L’Oréal Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day Cream, which has sunscreen in it, and uses it “consistently in the daytime,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK. (Worth noting: Julianne was a L’Oréal Paris ambassador at the time of the interview.)
Generally speaking, she told The Cut, “I like to find a moisturizer that has SPF. A lot people say, ‘I don’t want to get a bottle of Coppertone and put it all over my face.’ But if you have a moisturizer you like with sunscreen in it, it’s very easy to get your SPF.”
Since Julianne’s so careful about staying away from the sun, she even avoids al fresco dining when she can. To keep her skin from getting puffy, she also avoids food with sodium before events like awards shows, per The Cut.
