Dancing On Ice pro Matt Evers ‘very sick’ with coronavirus symptoms

Dancing On Ice professional Matt Evers has said that he is "very sick" after coming down with coronavirus symptoms.

The pro skater, 44, said that it had left him feeling "really down" after being forced to self-isolate for five days.

Matt is panicked that he may have COVID-19 after a Sports Relief colleague was found to have the virus.

The skating star, who was previously partnered with H from Steps on the skating show, told The Sun Online : "I've been very sick for the past 5 days.

"I've been having flu symptoms and been really spaced out. I've been down, thinking what am I? Who am I? I can't get home to my family in the States too, I have elderly parents so I've been feeling pretty helpless."

He went on to say that he felt it was a "massive comedown" after taking part on the skating show – especially after being used to receiving calls daily from producers, which has also suddenly stopped.

Matt also said that he has been too sick to work and that he is focusing on getting better.

He added: "I'm so lucky I've been leaning on H for support, and Candice who have been amazing."

The skater previously posted an Instagram picture of himself in a dressing gown as he sat looking out of a window.

He thanked the NHS, writing: "Stop, breathe, give thanks to our medical workers and have faith."

This comes as hoards of celebs combat self-isolation with living room workouts and lifting weights in the garden.
