How are you guys doing on toilet paper right now? Though stores like Costco have finally started to implement measures to curb hoarding, it may be a minute before your favorite TP is back on the shelves. In the meantime, it appears that mothers have gotten rather inventive when coming up with toilet paper alternatives, including reusing the peri-spray bottles they used after giving birth.
“Since last week, sales for the MomWasher have increased dramatically (5x) and the product is now SOLD OUT on Frida.com,” a press rep for Frida Mom told SheKnows via email.
We shouldn’t be too surprised with this inventiveness in a crisis, given that we moms are responsible for the survival of the species.
“I was just telling my husband I was gonna use this to save TP!” @pants008 commented on the Frida Mom Instagram. “I have mine from my two year old’s birth.”
“Soooo it’s literally the best,” @megfigmat wrote. “I use it all the time. I’m also not recently PP. It’s just better.”
You can use the regular squeeze bottles they distribute at the hospital, but Frida Baby’s upside-down device does make this makeshift bidet action a little easier. Even though the product is sold out on Frida.com, as of this writing it does still appear to be available on Amazon. Since it’s a postpartum-care product, Frida’s PR rep believes warehouses should still be receiving shipments of it during Amazon’s current moratorium on anything but household essentials and medical supplies. Only please don’t buy more than you need — we want pregnant moms to have access to these first and foremost!
We have to figure out how to make sure no one sells these to the people who deemed Frida Mom’s ad too graphic to air during the Oscars this year. (Ah, those seem like innocent times now, don’t they?)
