Carrie Underwood, the queen of country music, has admitted time and again that’s she’s just your average mom. In an interview with PEOPLE, she spoke about eating breakfast with her family and burritos on the go when she’s in a time crunch. But doing laundry takes the cake as the most relatable mom duty of them all. “I do a lot of laundry. Isaiah just thinks my job is doing laundry,” she says. The mother of two boys, 1-year-old Jacob Bryan and 5-year-old Isaiah Michael, has an at-home-life that’s *pretty* normal.
But before the kids even wake up, she wants to sneak in some time with her husband. “My kids are my alarm. My husband and I are trying this thing where we get up earlier so we can have a little quiet time before the kids wake up.” However, the “Cry Pretty” singer still makes plenty of time for her children. She even took them with her on tour, which she admits is not easy. Still, her work-life balance is truly something to be admired. Here, we’ve listed her best mom moments that prove she is every mom.
She Got Real About “Bouncing Back” After Birth
After she had Jacob, her workout routine (and everyday life for that matter!) completely changed. Even though she couldn’t run as fast or said “I just want to feel like myself again,” Underwood acknowledged what her body did for her along the way. Just like us, her body after baby is an adjustment.
Her Family Spent Their Day at Sesame Place
Every parent and their kid basically has a right of passage to visit Sesame Place. So, on her day off, Underwood took Isaiah and Jacob to see some furry monster friends and play games. They looked like they had the time of their lives!
She’s a Soccer Mom
Imagine your mom cheering you on at your soccer game in the morning and running to record a hit single at night?
Her Kids Basically Forget She’s a Celebrity
Yep, her 4-year-old basically thinks she’s 70 and does laundry all day. In response, other moms shared their kids’ “All About My Mom” notes with similar anecdotes.
She Threw Isaiah a Ninja Turtle Party
For Isaiah’s 5th birthday, Underwood threw him a Ninja Turtle party at DEFY Nashville trampoline park with friends and family. His birthday cake mimicked The Mystery Machine in Scooby-Doo. Compared to the Kardashian themed birthday bashes, this party filled with trampolines, foam pits, and fondant cake is exactly how we’d celebrate our own little ones.
