Prince William? More like the prince of dad jokes.
The Duke of Cambridge stopped by the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin on Tuesday with Kate Middleton on the couple's tour of Ireland, and made a cheeky joke about his grandmother.
He recalled that Queen Elizabeth herself had also visited the Storehouse in 2011 and learned how to pour the perfect pint, telling the crowd that he and the Duchess of Cambridge were "retracing the footsteps" of Her Majesty the Queen.
"Now, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you it is not often that I find myself following The Queen to a pub," he said. "But I am looking forward to testing for myself the theory that Guinness tastes even better in Ireland than overseas."
Because, you know, the Queen of England isn't exactly known for pub crawls — get it? Ha-ha.
And because the royal family has a sense of humor, the official royals account retweeted a video of Prince William, sending a virtual "Cheers!"
The royals: They're just like us.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are on the second day of their three-day tour of Ireland, where they've been making visits to noted charities and, of course, learning to pour a perfect pint.
Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Cheers, indeed.
