Kim Kardashian has been accused of cultural appropriation again after she sported a tight braided hairdo at husband Kanye West’s Paris Fashion Week show on Monday.
The reality star, 39, debuted long plaits for the outing, whilst she donned a Yeezy taupe jacket over a plunging beige crop top, baggy high-waisted grey trousers and strappy nude heels.
Kim, who is half Armenian, faced a backlash when she shared a snap of her look on Twitter, however, with users accusing of appropriating black culture.

Kim, who has come under fire in the past for sporting braids, also shared a picture of one of the Yeezy models sporting the same hairstyle, proving that Kanye had styled her for the show.
Yet Twitter users hit out at Kim for also modelling the look, as they penned: ‘Just because your daughter is mixed and your husband is black doesn’t mean you are’.

Kim previously hit out at backlash when she sported what she called ‘Bo Derek’ braids back in 2018.
Posting a slew of very racy pictures on Instagram on Monday evening, Kim captioned an image of herself on the phone with the words:’ Hi, can I get zero f***s please, thanks.’
Wearing a dressing gown and socks, she was still sporting the blonde braids which led to the initial backlash.

WHAT IS CULTURAL APPROPRIATION?
Cultural appropriation in its simplest form is when someone adopts something from a culture that doesn’t belong to them. This could be a hairstyle or a way of speaking.
The Everyday Feminism website says: ‘ Unlike cultural exchange, in which there is a mutual interchange, appropriation refers to a “particular power dynamic in which members of a dominant culture take elements from a culture of people who have been systematically oppressed by that dominant group.”‘
However, the comment was immediately blasted by her followers, who branded her ‘disrespectful’ and accused of her cultural appropriation.
The TV star was immediately slammed by her followers after revealing in the selfie video she was ‘really into’ her new look, inspired by the famous American actress.
One fan responded by writing: ‘I’m still a bit peeved on how @KimKardashian had the audacity to call these braids “Bo Derrick” braids’ (sic)
