Coronation Street villain Sharon returns as Gary Windass goes back to evil loan shark job

CORONATION Street villain Sharon will return to the street, as Gary Windass will resort back to his job as an evil loan shark.

Gary's right-hand woman, played by Naomi Cooper Davies last appeared on the soap in July 2019 and was seen filming out on a job with Gary.

Sharon was the henchwoman for loan shark Rick Neelan, helping him torment Gary and force him to hound people out of their money.

She then began to work with Gary despite being suspicious of the fact that he had suddenly taken over Rick's office, before Gary admitted he had killed Rick.

Her return signals Gary going back to his evil ways as a loan shark as he and his former cohort will both be seen playing hardball with an elderly couple.

Mikey and Naomi have both recently filmed the upsetting scenes where they confronted an elderly man and his disabled wife and took their sofas away.

Corrie boss Iain MacLeod, spoke about the next stage of Gary's storyline and said: "We can’t forget the on-going trajectory of Gary Windass and his return to his genetic destiny as a kind of slightly dodgy scowl, and that has a really interesting chapter at the start of the new year."

He explained that Gary will soon go head to head with Adam Barlow, adding: "While the focus is over here on his new family and Maria, Adam Barlow is secretly conspiring against him and will threaten to lead the authorities to Rick’s final resting place."

Rick's daughter Kelly Neelan will be out for blood as she is also returning to the street in search of answers concerning her dad.

It seems as though Gary may need to watch his back, will the returning Sharon continue to support him?

As a result of Gary telling Sharon about murdering Rick, fans thought that she would be next on Gary's list.

She caught him planting evidence in Rick's house last July, before he admitted what he had done.

He said: "I had to stop him Sharon, I had to know he couldn't come after us again. I had no choice, I had to think of my family."

Afraid she would spill the beans, Gary offered her £15,000 to keep quiet about what he had told her.
