What Chiefs star Chris Jones said that made Tom Brady snap

If you ever wondered how to annoy Tom Brady, Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones has your answer.

After enduring two quarters of trash talk from Jones in Week 14, Brady took the bait and got up in Jones’ face for some retaliatory “crap-talking.” But Jones says now that it was actually a little more vulgar than he first led on.

“I got him to say something back to me,” the Super Bowl champ said in a recent interview with Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take.” “He cussed me out, but I loved it. That’s the first time I’ve seen Brady cuss a D-lineman out, so obviously, I was doing something right.”

Jones wouldn’t elaborate which word Brady used.

“We were going at it for a little bit,” Brady told WEEI’s “The Greg Show” the Monday following the 23-16 loss. “He was pretty talkative out there, so I think there’s a healthy rivalry.”

Brady admitted he let the Chiefs pass rusher had gotten under his skin and noted that he “typically” does not let the trash talk get to him. This time Brady said he “couldn’t really resist.”

Apparently, the 25-year old lineman went after Brady’s advanced age.

“If they’re on the ground, you call him an old-ass motherf–ker or get your old ass up or you need to f–king retire,” Jones said. “Brady got up so f–king fast, that’s the quickest I’ve ever seen Brady move.”

Brady turns 43 in August.

Jones, who seemed proud he was able to provoke an emotional reaction from the Patriots signal-caller says it’s all “part of the game.”

“I feel like especially quarterbacks … you know, quarterback and D-Line, those are two different types of class so when ya’ll able to clash up, you talk your s–t. You say how you feel to them,” Jones said. “Any time I’m able to say anything to a quarterback after I hit him, I don’t even have to hit him, I’ll just come to you and talk s–t.

“After the game, it’s nothing but love and respect. But between those lines, we’re at war. And whatever I can do to get under your skin, whatever I can do to affect you. But just understand, it’s not just talking s–t. I’m gonna hit you. You’re gonna feel me.”
