Ulrika Jonsson has revealed she recently had sex for the first time in five years following the end of her marriage to ex Brian Monet.
The TV presenter, 52, writing in a column for The Sun, told how she met a man on social media who she became intimate with and likened the experience to losing her virginity all over again.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star candidly admitted she thought she would never have sex again only two years ago and was worried she would not remember how to have sex before she got down to the deed.

Ulrika told how her confidence had taken a major hit over the last few years, saying her self-worth was ‘lower than a tart’s knickers’.
She wrote: ‘I had been left feeling so repulsive and rejected over the past years that the chances of having a physical experience again were slim to none. I had become unintentionally celibate.’
Ulrika said her confidence was knocked by her lack of will or desire to have sex, as well as putting on a small amount of weight and physical signs of ageing.
However, the TV star’s hopes were restored after going on a date with a man who she felt a connection with.

Ulrika said she was honest with him about her recent lack of sexual experience, admitting that it felt ‘disloyal’ to be attracted to someone other than her ex husband.
The former Gladiators host revealed she was shocked when she experienced sexual arousal again, likening it to her body shutting down and someone bringing her back to life with a defibrillator.
She said: ‘I joke that it was like losing my virginity all over again — except this time I felt much more in control and considerably less scared. This was not our first date, but I knew the first time I met him that I was attracted to him.’
Ulrika and her new man got intimate on their second date, with the Swedish star describing the experience as a ‘revelation’.
The presenter said she knew she had missed being intimate but had not realised how much, saying intimacy will now be intrinsic to her life.

Ulrika said she hopes her story will help other people struggling with a lack of intimacy or affection in their life find a way to reclaim it.
She said: ‘Now that I have been rejuvenated and reminded about the importance of intimacy, I feel like I never want to let it go again.’
It comes after Ulrika previously went hunting for love on Celebrity First Dates late last year with a man named Paul who was ‘a few years’ younger than her.
Writing in the Daily Mail after the show, the TV star said she had an enjoyable experience on the date.
She wrote: I’m proud of myself for getting into the swing of the evening. Maybe it was down to the rum, but I soon managed to let go of all the angst and enjoy Paul’s company.
‘There’s no way I would have found myself on a blind date so soon if it wasn’t for the show, and I’m grateful for the way it gave me an unexpected kick up the bum.
Hope: However, the TV star’s hopes were restored after going on a date with a man who she felt a connection with (pictured in October 2019)
‘I hope any woman in a similar position will take heart from what I did. It’s challenging, putting yourself out there again, but, as long as you don’t have ridiculously high expectations, then dating again can be a really positive experience.’
As well as her experience on First Dates, Ulrika also signed up for dating app aimed at the over 50s.
Ulrika previously revealed she and advertising executive Brian had sex just once in eight years.
She said: ‘Nearly two years ago, just before my 50th birthday, I remember thinking I might have to just accept that I would never have sex ever again.
‘The reason I thought this is because I had not had sex for four and half years. And the time before that was four years prior.
‘I was living in a sexless marriage for nearly a decade. That just didn’t feel right. It felt unnatural and as if part of my life was over.’
Truthful: Ulrika said she was honest with her hew man about her recent lack of sexual experience
Despite questioning her husband on how their relationship got to where it was, she felt she never got a response.
Ulrika wrote that going through menopause at the same time she was struggling in her marriage ‘could’t have made [her] feel worse’ and hampered her confidence.
However, she was keen to stress that it wasn’t the menopause that ended her marriage.
The TV star said there was great sexual chemistry between her and Brian when they first met and she’s still not sure why it disappeared as the years went by.
She said Brian was an excellent step-father to her three children and was also a doting dad to their son Malcolm, ten.
Ulrika noted the couple never had the best communication skills and while she described herself as an ‘open book’, she felt Brian was the opposite.
The couple went to marriage psycho-therapy sessions where Ulrika felt Brian lacked empathy.

She added that they would continue to co-parent from separate houses and hopes they will reach a ‘greater point of neutrality’ in the future.
During an appearance on Loose Women, Ulrika opened up further about her confession to only having sex with Brian once in eight years.
‘I was obviously profoundly affected by it and, to be quite honest, wondered if there was other people going through similar things. Mine, I guess, also coupled with going through the menopause and feeling different about my own body.’
When asked if they were both disinterested in sex, she admitted that was certainly interested.’
‘Obviously my ex-husband is not here to defend himself. I tried very, very hard at increasingly regular intervals to bring the subject up, it was of great concern to me.
‘We worked really well as a couple and as parents and as a family, I think it was amazing. It was 100% the reason I wanted to stay in the marriage and keep going.’
Help: Ulrika said she hopes her story will help other people struggling with a lack of intimacy or affection in their life find a way to reclaim it
Of her Loose Women interview, Ulrika she ‘didn’t know’ how he would feel about discussing their previous romance.
‘I don’t know. I see him every day, we see each other every day. He’s a really great guy, I’m absolutely devastated that the marriage came to an end.
‘But for me the whole thing about intimacy feels like a massive taboo. I would never dream of talking about it. But then when I thought, no this is really important.’
It has been a tough time for the star who announced her heartbreaking split in April following 11 years of marriage.
Ulrika also recently took to Instagram to admit that her ‘eyes stung with tears’ after she received the official letter confirming her separation from her third husband.
She said: ‘Now that I have been rejuvenated and reminded about the importance of intimacy, I feel like I never want to let it go again’
Ulrika noted that her marriage was finally over after ‘having a gorgeous ceremony and spending 13 years together’ – but added a slight touch of humour in her message as she joked she was ‘free to marry again.’
Ulrika and Brian, who is believed to be 50, tied the knot in 2008 and share one son, Malcolm, 10. They began their relationship in 2006.
In 2014, Brian also adopted her daughter Bo, now 18, from the presenter’s relationship with German hotel boss Markus Kempen.
Ulrika has two other children, Cameron, 24, from her marriage to John Turnbull (1990-1995) and Martha, 14, from her union with Lance Gerrard-Wright, (2003-2005).
