Taylor Swift revealed in her new documentary Miss Americana that ‘there’s a part of me that’s definitely not ready to have kids.’
The songbird made the revelation while enjoying Mexican food during a recording studio break, shortly before her 29th birthday in December 2018.
Taylor, who is now 30 and has been with Joe Alwyn since 2017, pointed out that starting a family is tough ‘because my life is planned like two years ahead of time.’

She shared that ‘there’s a part of me that feels like I’m 57 years old, but there’s a part of me that’s like definitely not ready to have kids, definitely not ready for all this grown-up stuff.’
Taylor explained: ‘I kind of don’t really have the luxury of figuring stuff out because my life is planned like in, like two years ahead of time.
‘Like literally in two months they’ll come to me with the dates for the next tour, and they’ll be like: “So, you’ll be at Foxboro Stadium, this date, 2020 or whatever year, you know?”‘

Speculation that the Lover songstress and the The Favourite hunk were getting hitched stemmed from a scene where Taylor talked her reason for breaking her silence on politics.
Sitting down on a couch cross-legged and wearing all black, she flashed what appeared to be a diamond on her left ring finger.
The director of Miss Americana, Lana Wilson, kept mum when asked about the jewelry last week.
Acting incredulous, she told InStyle: ‘Whoa. I’m going to have to revisit that scene.’

Fans took to social media to wonder about a potential engagement.
‘The question of the day, are [Taylor] and Joe engaged?! Look closely at her left hand in the political scene of #MissAmericana,’ wrote one.
Another more skeptical fan posted: ‘I don’t believe Taylor Swift is engaged I think she would let her fans know if she was plus its my birthday.’

Joe is seen briefly in the documentary, however, caught hugging her after one performance.
In another scene, Taylor is seen kissing a hand, presumably his, while sitting in a car together.
She’s also captured mouthing the words ‘I love you’ to someone behind the camera in another scene, almost certainly a shout out to Alwyn.
