Mike referred to himself as ‘a sexy side dish’ on Thursday’s Love Island and viewers went into meltdown.
The ex-policeman was seen trying to woo Jess, having suddenly decided he liked her despite already being coupled up with Leanne 24 hours prior.
And in an attempt to flirt, he made the ‘side dish’ comment, in reference to the fact that Jess is already coupled up with Luke M.

Viewers, however, could not let the remark slide, descending upon Twitter to weigh in on the bizarre metaphor.
“‘Im’a be a sexy side dish” If I was Jess I would have instantly vomited all over him!’ one person declared.
‘He’s so so so cringe, I can’t cope – the only sexy side dish I want is some sweet potato fries hun, p**s off!’ another fumed.

Mike recoupled with Sophie, forcing Leanne out of the villa on Wednesday night’s edition of the show.
But his advances toward Jess irritated Luke M, who branded Mike a ‘snake’, and said he was playing a ‘massive game’.
Over-hearing the ‘side dish’ comment, Luke M asked Luke T: ‘Did he just say sexy side dish?’
