Dumped Love Island star reckons one couple are ‘faking’ their romance

Dumped Love Island star Eve Gale thinks Paige Turley is faking her feelings for Finley Tapp.

The 20-year-old student – who was previously coupled up with Ollie Williams before he quit the show after just a few days – has dished the dirt on her fellow Islanders, mainly Lewis Capaldi's ex-girlfriend Paige.

Paige and Finn were the first couple to be picked to spend the night together in the Hideaway last night, and they told the others they were looking forward to cuddling and kissing on their own. The pair reemerged the next day looking even more smitten, and when 20-year-old Finn chose Paige in the recent recoupling, he told her he couldn't imagine being on the show without her.

And despite the pair looking more loved up than ever, Eve isn't convinced that their romance is entirely genuine.

"I don't think Paige is into Finn as much as he is into her,” Eve told Metro.co.uk. "I thought Mike and Leanne would win but obviously that has changed now."

Eve's twin sister Jess is still in the villa, and is currently coupled up with Luke Mabbott, but recently became involved in an unexpected love triangle as newly single Mike Boateng tries to woo her.

Eve was the first Islander to leave the show, but she insisted that she wanted to be sent home.

“I felt very ready to go, I found it hard in the villa as I didn't click with anyone," she continued. "I felt ready and happy and excited to come back as I was missing home a lot and I was excited to see my friends and family. I think everything happens for a reason.”

She added that she wasn't happy with the reaction from the public towards her and her twin Jess.

"I think the reception of us has been quite negative, to be honest," she said. "It’s unique, and people thought, 'how does this work?'

"But it was new and I feel like people were shocked by us."

Eve added that she thinks Mike might be playing games, and that it will be "easier" for him "to crack on and do his thing without me there”.

Since Eve’s departure, Mike has cracked on with Jess and Sophie Piper. The 24-year-old police officer surprised his fellow Islanders by flirting with Sophie, who told him she sees him like a brother, and Jess, who isn't convinced he's moved on from Leanne Amaning yet.

Love Island airs on ITV2 at 9pm .
