Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa doesn’t regret matching tattoo with Miley Cyrus

Liam Hemsworth's sister-in-law Elsa Pataky has opened up about her matching tattoo with Miley Cyrus.

While the mother-of-three, 43, may have slammed the singer in the past, Elsa has made it clear that she holds no qualms about sharing a permanent reminder of her on her arm.

The stunning actress – who is married to Avengers star Chris Hemsworth – insisted she's happy with all of her tattoos including the ink she and Miley, 27, got together back in 2016.

Elsa and the 'Wrecking Ball' hit-maker both got a tiny wave symbol in black ink.

When asked about her body ink by Vogue Australia, Elsa said: "I don’t regret any of them, they’re symbols and I love having them and it reminds me of those moments."

While Miley was still very much in love with her ex-husband Liam,30, her and Elsa became exceptionally close and made the decision to get matching ink as a symbol of their friendship.

Elsa failed to otherwise comment on Miley and Liam's recent high-profile breakup in her Vogue Australia interview.

She did however previously share her thoughts on the controversial split while speaking to reporters at an event in November.

"My brother in law, well, after a relationship where he dedicated 10 years, he’s discouraged … but he’s taking it well" she said at the time.

"He’s a strong guy and he deserves the best. I think he deserves much more." she scoled.

Elsa also stated that her brother-in-law had been leaning on his family, including his older brother Chris, in the weeks after the difficult split.

"Family is always there to protect you. He and his brother are so close and he’s really been there for him to give him the strength he needs," she told People Magazine .

Liam filed for divorce in August after just seven months of marriage since their wedding day on Dec. 23, 2018.

In August 2019, a rep for the 'Can't Stop' singer confirmed in a statement that the couple had split.

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," the statement read.

"Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

According to sources, the pair had a prenup that divided their property, and it had previously been decided that Miley would keep all their animals.

In other words, it wasn't a hugely complicated split—but that said, TMZ claimed "the divorce was marked by significant bitterness on both sides, but that seems to have subsided as they decided it’s better to move on than fight."

Since their split, Miley has been in a number of high-profile relationships including Kaitlynn Carter who she dated right after her split from Hemsworth in the summer.

The 'Wrecking Ball' singer is currently in a relationship with Cody Simpson.
