Woman trapped in her kitchen for two days by angry and vicious pet cat

A woman was stranded in her kitchen for two days after her cat "went crazy" and attacked every time she tried to leave the room.

The woman, who has not been named, from the northern Russian city Arjánguelsk, said the cat became "furious" forcing her to take refuge in the kitchen. But every time she tried to leave the room, the feline, lurking in the hallway, attacked her.

The woman was only rescued after a man walking down the street near her flat, saw her leaning from the third floor window, waving her arms and calling for help, according to a Russian police statement on January 19.

The man alerted emergency services who climbed into her apartment through the kitchen window.

Rescuers caught the fierce cat using a blanket. Police, who named the cat a "fluffy beast", secured the cat in a transporter and returned it to the woman.

The woman did not need medical help.

In an unrelated case in Russia a vile woman bit her cat's head in revenge against her boyfriend after a heated argument.

Daria Turchina, from Dmitrov, Moscow, in Russia, recorded a sinister video in which she threatened to crush the cat to death.

She streamed the animal abuse on Telegram, a messaging app similar to Whatsapp, in November.

In the clip she holds the cat in a deadlock, her arm tightly around its neck, and puts the skin at the top of his head in her mouth. She then holds the cat to her chest and says: "Do you know that I can kill you? I can kill you, crush you.

"Do you understand me?"

The cat then howls in pain as she sinks her teeth in.

It isn't clear whether local authorities investigated.
