In the Lucifer season four finale, Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) said goodbye to the love of his life, Chloe Decker (Lauren German). The devil had no other option but to return to rule, to prevent the chaos in Hell arriving on Earth. However, with Lucifer stuck in Hell, will he reunite with Chloe?
Ever since the final series aired back in May fans of the Netflix series have been desperate to know if and where the couple will see each other again.
Now, showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have dropped some more clues in their latest interview with tvline.
It seems Chloe could be joining Lucifer in Hell next season after they teased he won’t be coming back to Earth anytime soon.
When asked how Lucifer and Chloe’s relationship is going to develop when he comes back from Hell, Joe was quick to shut down the idea that the devil’s return to Earth is a done deal.

“Wait, who says Lucifer is coming back from Hell??” Joe teased.
He then adds: “We can’t say much, but know that [co-showrunner] Ildy [Modrovich] and I are ‘Deckerstar’ fans ourselves.
“So we asked ourselves: For the final season, what do we want to see happen between Lucifer and Chloe?
“What haven’t we explored or explained yet? And we’ve tried to get all of that in Season 5.”
The showrunners are yet to release a Netflix premiere date.
However, it is set to be an explosive watch, with some new faces to look out for.
Lucifer’s life is set to become even more complicated after it was recently announced his father God has been cast.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Dennis Haysbert has been cast in the role of God.

Lucifer’s father “will appear throughout,” the final season of the supernatural drama.
However, additional plot and character details are being kept under wraps.
Showrunner Joe Henderson said: “We did like the big crazy list of [possible actors for the part], and he was my top choice.
“We were lucky. It was our first and only offer.”

Fans of the series may know this isn’t the first instance God has appeared in the series.
There are two other instances of God making an appearance on the show.
In season three, Neil Gaiman voiced the man upstairs in the episode titled Once Upon a Time.
Season two even saw Timothy Omundson appear as a man claiming to be God.
Lucifer season 4 is available on Netflix now, with season 5 arriving in 2020.
