Caroline Flack’s boyfriend denies blood in alleged picture of ‘horror movie’ scene is his as he calls her ‘harmless’

Caroline Flack's boyfriend Lewis Burton has denied the "blood" photographed on a bed is his following their alleged bust-up.

An image of what is reported to be 40 year old Caroline's bedroom has emerged online, with what appears to be blood soaking the bed sheets.

In the photograph, a white sheet is covered in large patches of red liquid, with it also dripping onto the cream carpet.

It also appears that the base of a lamp can be seen in the corner of the room — which is the instrument Caroline is said to have used to carry out the assault.

The Love Island host — who has stepped down from hosting the sixth series of the show — was arrested and charged with assault by beating last month.

She appeared in court on 23 December, pleading not guilty to the charge after the scene was likened to a "horror movie" by police.

But Lewis, who has defended Caroline since her arrest, has now denied the red liquid seen in the image is his blood.

Sharing an image of the scene to his 37,000 followers, he wrote: "B******t this isn't my blood and I didn't get hit over the head with a lamp. Can everyone stop now."

He quickly followed up the post with a photo of him and Caroline giggling, adding: "I love this girl more than anything no 1 knows what's going on or what's happened [sic]"

"She is f**king harmless and the most amazing person I have ever met," he finished his post.

In court last month, Caroline's defence lawyer, Paul Morris, said: "Mr Burton has never supported this prosecution. He is not the victim, as he would say, he was a witness."

But Katie Weiss, prosecuting, replied: "Mr Burton is a victim, he received significant injury to his head."

Giving details of the ordeal, prosecutor Katie said: "At 5.25am on the 12 December he [Lewis Burton] made an allegation against his girlfriend Caroline Flack.

"Police then made their way to the address. Police then knocked on the door eight minutes later and it was opened by both of them. Both were covered in blood.

"And in fact one of the police officers likened the scene to a horror movie. He [Burton] said he had been asleep and had been hit over the head by Caroline by a lamp. It cut his head and his face was covered in blood.
