Taylor Swift had a BODY DOUBLE for one of her TWO scenes in Cats as the singer ‘was unavailable to film’
She’s only appears in two scenes of the universally slated musical Cats.
But it seems that Taylor Swift, 30, had a body double for her scenes as Bombalurina, as actress Annabelle Strutt revealed she was a stand in for the singer on set.
Taking to Instagram to share an array of behind-the-scenes shots on Instagram in December, she gushed: ‘So, at the beginning of the year I was given the opportunity to be Taylor Swift’s (Bombalurina) body double in the upcoming musical film CATS

Showing off her orange motion-capture suit and dotted face, she added: ‘I also was lucky enough to film a scene alongside the legendary Idris Elba, Ray Winstone and Judy Dench (who are all lovely by the way)!
‘I had so much fun on this production and I’m very grateful to have been a part of it.’
According to The Sun, the Shake It Off hitmaker wasn’t on set during a scene where Bombalurina was seen on a boat with Judi, Idris and Ray, as they claimed she was unavailable to film.

Cats looks set to lose upward of $100million for makers Universal, after dismal takings at the box office.
It comes after the much maligned star-studded CGI movie dropped to eighth place at the U.S. box office with $4.8million.
Internationally Tom Hooper’s big-screen adaptation has taken just $38million after two weeks in theatres.
The dismal figure could result in $100 million in theatrical losses, rival studio executives told Variety.com.
Excited: Annabelle showed off a picture of her script as she took a selfie in her trailer for Cats
Body double: The actress also shared an image of her trailer, which referred to her role as ‘Bombalurina reference’ in the musical
Deadline reports that if Cats doesn’t reach at least $100 million worldwide ($40 million domestic, $60 million abroad), which appears unlikely after the first two weeks, it will lose at least $71 million.
Those figures are based on the estimated $90 million budget plus a global publicity and advertising spend of roughly $115 million.
Variety estimates a $100 million budget and $95 million to $100 million for global marketing and distribution fees. Adding to damages, Universal issued new prints of the movie to exhibitors with improved visuals during opening weekend.
This comes after it emerged that the film has been re-edited by Hooper and reissued to cinemas.
More to come? Cats is also reportedly being updated because Hooper didn’t finish working on it until the day before the world premiere, in December
The film is reportedly being updated because Hooper didn’t finish working on it until the day before the world premiere, in December.
In an exchange on Twitter last week, it was revealed that the following note was sent to theaters playing the film: ‘DCDC and Deluxe-Technicolor will be sending updated FTR-20 SMPTE DCPs of Cats which will include some improved visual effects. The runtime is unchanged.’
While the actual content of the movie will most likely remain unchanged, some visual effects may have been fixed or improved by the director and his post production team.
While Hooper won an Academy Award for directing the 2010 gem The King’s Speech, which also won Best Picture that year, this film, based on the Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway musical, is suffering with a terrible 19 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
