K-pop group Momoland talk losing three members as they release Thumps Up

Main dancer, vocalist and rapper Jane said: "It's true that it's sad, but since everyone has a path they choose for themselves, we're sincerely cheering them on.

"Since we changed to six members, we worked even harder. We hope people take it well."

Meanwhile, face of the group JooE added: "We were the most worried about sending the same energy to fans. We worked even harder for that."

Earlier this year, the K-pop group, known for their insanely catchy title tracks, released I'm So Hot as seven members.

They then released Japanese single Pinky Love as a six-piece, in September, while Yeonwoo was on hiatus from the group.

In November it was confirmed that Momoland would be regrouping as six members, as Yeonwoo and Taeha had officially left, while Daisy is still in discussions.

The group debuted back in 2016 with Welcome to Momoland and its title track JJan! Koong! Kwang!, however didn't receive huge popularity until 2018.

It was then that they released Bboom Bboom, which peaked at No4 on the US World charts, and Baam, which peaked at No5.

The fun girl group are known for very catchy choruses, simple choreography which fans easily pick up, and cute visuals.

Thumbs Up, a song about tiring of social media, sees the girls take on a more mature image though, similar to that of I'm So Hot from earlier this year.

Despite only being released today, it already has more than 2million views on YouTube.
