In the black-and-white image the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ alum shares on Instagram, she can be seen cuddling close to her 13-year-old daughter as they both flash a smile to the camera.
AceShowbiz –Suri Cruise has grown to be a spitting image of her actress mother. A day after Christmas, Katie Holmes turned to Instagram Story to show off how similar they looked alike as she put out a black-and-white selfie of herself with her 13-year-old daughter.
The rare post captured the mother-daughter duo flashing a smile as they huddled close together. One day earlier, the former “Dawson’s Creek” star got playful with her holiday posts. In one featuring a snowman ornament hung on a Christmas tree, she wrote, “Happy Holidays!!!!!!” Another one saw her covering her eyes with a Santa hat.
The December 26 post was not the first time Katie shared of Suri on social media, but the last time she treated fans to her daughter’s was back on March 23. At the time, she posted a shot which was taken from their trip to the Moria refugee camp in Lesbos, Greece. Alongside the monochrome pic of Suri playing with another kid, she simply wrote, “#moriarefugeecamp,” with a number of heart emojis.
Suri is Katie’s only daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise. While she was notoriously private about the child, the Rachel Dawes of “Batman Begins” opened up about being a mother in an interview for the December issue of Elle U.K. magazine. “I was happy to become a mum in my twenties,” she assured.
“It’s been nice that our ages fit,” the 41-year-old who gave birth to Suri at the age of 27 further explained. “How do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together.”
In another interview with Shape magazine, Katie revealed that her close bond with Suri led them to do things together. “Sometimes I work out with my daughter. It just depends on the day. We have our routines, and occasionally they overlap,” she spilled. “But I don’t force her to work out with me because I know that’s lame.”
