A glowing object has been spotted in the sky above Argentina with many baffled viewers unable to guess what it might be, although some suggested a UFO , an alien invasion, or even Santa Claus.
In the video, a crowd of people can be seen to stop in their tracks and stare up at the sky as a bright object appears in the night sky.
Traveling horizontally, it then looks as if it separates into two, although it is likely the glowing orb was actually two objects close together which then spread further apart.
The two orbs head downwards at some speed, with what appears almost like comet tails trailing behind them.

Abruptly slowing down, the two glowing objects then look as if they are hovering, before a further two lights appear in quick succession.
The clip was tweeted out by Uriel De Simoni on December 23 who ominously said: "They are among us".
It was since retweeted by beIN Sports correspondent Tancredo Palmeri, who captioned the post: “Getting viral in Argentina a video of what appears to be… well……aliens.”
The video now has more than two million views, sparking online arguments over what the strange lights might be.

Many viewers were quick to joke that the country’s famous footballers were somehow involved with the UFO.
“Did they take Maradona?” asked one.
A second person quipped: “Messi is just returning from his holidays from space.”
In an apparent jibe, a third man wrote: “That is a shot at goal by Lingard.”
Meanwhile, others insisted the bright objects were actually Santa Claus and his reindeer-led sleigh out delivering presents in South America.

“Santa and his helpers doing Argentina early doors,” said a commentator.
However, other viewers opted for more down-to-earth explanations, with a suggestion the weird lights were night time skydivers.
A skeptic wrote: “4 parachutes, but only 2 have ankle flares.
“Merry Christmas to everyone that doesn't believe in being fed horses*** by media.
“Love you all.”
“US Forces skydivers,” said another bluntly.
